Residents of Bally, Pennsylvania were recently allowed to drink from their own water supply after a state ban. How long did the ban last?
The residents of Bally had been reliant on bottled water for drinking and cooking for seven years, a state of affairs that finally ended in August 2010. In 2003, a chemical leak contaminated the local water supply. A new well was built in a neighboring township and although the water has been given the approval of the Environmental Protection Agency, some residents, such as John Eddinger aren't taking any chances. "I will still buy bottled water," he said.
