Pops & Drops: Isilon, Pepsico...

As investors nervously await monthly jobs data and third-quarter earnings reports, stocks ended mixed on Thursday. On "Fast Money," the traders discussed some moves that caught their eye:

POPS (stocks that pushed higher)

Isilon (ISLN) popped 5%: The data storage company's stock rose on rumors that it could be acquired by Dell .

"It's not tough to pop anything in that data storage name," said Pete Najarian, co-founder of optionMONSTER.com, adding that because this company's market cap is under $2 billion, "makes a lot of sense that people would actually believe that there might be something out there with this company."

Nokia (NOK) popped 2%: Canaccord Genuity positively mentioned this global wireless provider and strong Symbian 3 smartphone orders. Virtus Investment Partners' Joe Terranova noted that the stock is "bouncing at the bottom and might have a little further upside."

BMC Software (BMC) popped 7%: This stock rallied on speculation the software vendor may be exploring a sale. Jon Najarian, an options trader and co-founder of optionMONSTER.com said even a rumor of mergers and acquisitions is enough for a stock to pop.

Crocs (CROX) popped 7%: The footwear designer saw a rise in shares after Sterne Agee & Leach initiated a 'buy' on the stock with a price target of $19. Steven Cortes, founder of Veracruz, is positive on CROX.

DROPS (stocks that moved lower)

PepsiCo (PEP) dropped 3%: The soft drink maker's stock fizzled out after reporting third-quarter earnings results that showed earnings rose by 12 percent, yet trimmed the top end of its 2010 outlook. While this is a "great, great company," people are disappointed with their outlook and its valuation is a "little stretched," said Karen Finerman of Metropolitan Capital Advisors.
