Lisa Gill of JPMorgan was named the top health care analyst by Institutional Investors’2010 All-America Research Team survey on Tuesday. She shared her sector outlook and best plays.
“[The health caresector] is going to be interesting to watch,” Gill told CNBC.
“I don’t think we can change health care reformat this point, but the question becomes how do we pay for it long-term.”
Within the health care sector, Gill favors the pharmacy benefit managements (PBMs), drug stores and the drug distributors.
“If you look at the PBMs, they generate a lot of cash flow and they were able to make acquisitions,” she explained. “There’s a lot of opportunity for PBMs in the next 3 to 5 years.”
