Top 4 Picks from Street's Top REIT Analyst

Steve Sakwa, senior managing director and head of ISI's real estate research team, was recently recognized by "Institutional Investor" magazine as a top analyst in their 39th annual "All-America Research Team."

Shortly after receiving the high honor, the widely followed analyst shared his top real estate picks:

Kilroy

Digital Realty

Public Storage

Macerich

Sakwa is largely bullish on these REITs because he expects they will likely increase dividends in the foreseeable future. "We think that's going to be an important story for the group," he said.

"Many of these companies had to cut the dividends due to the financial downturn," he explained. "But now the balance sheets have been repaired. Combined with the fact that fundamentals are improving I think a lot of these can grow dividends -- some in the double digits."
