Getting Animated Over Pot

If recent polls are accurate, California voters are set to approve Prop 19, which would legalize marijuana for recreational use.

This is international news.

So once again, Taiwanese news outlet NMA, which used low-cost computer animation to tell the Tiger Woodsstory and the story of former JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater, has gotten its creative juices flowing.

Here is how they've animated the debate over Prop 19. It's hilarious, though Denny's probably doesn't think so (gotta wonder why was there was a generic Denny's restaurant in their graphics program?). A cartoon about California? Well...there is something natural about that.

While I don't get everything going on here, I found the bit where Uncle Sam goes after a bong-smoking California bear an inspired piece of journalism. Gives new meaning to Smokey the Bear.
