Pops & Drops: M&T Bank, JinkoSolar

Following are moves you might have missed. Find out why shares of M&T Bank and JinkoSolar popped while Endo Pharmaceuticals and Stanley Black & Decker dropped.

POPS (stocks that jumped higher)

M&T Bank (MTB) popped 3%. The company said it had snapped up smaller rival Wilmington Trust for nearly 43% below value. - I would not jump in, says Karen Finerman.

JinkoSolar (JKS) popped 18%. The company reported third-quarter results that handily topped Wall Street estimates on higher shipments. - I'm a buyer with a stop around $30, says Joe Terranova.

Exco Energy (XCO) popped 30%. The chairman and CEO of EXCO Resources Inc. said Monday he plans to acquire all the company's outstanding shares in a deal valued at $4.36 billion. - Could be a good sign for nat gas, speculates Brian Kelly.

Fortinet (FTNT) popped 7%.
Reports surfaced suggesting IBM may be looking at the company as a potential takeover target.

Allergan (AGN) popped 2%. The company reported higher-than-expected quarterly sales of eye-care drugs and breast implants and raised its full-year outlook.

DROPS (stocks that slid lower)

Endo Pharmaceuticals (ENDP) dropped 5%. Ironically the company reported a profit that beat market expectations, helped by higher sales across its segments, and forecast its 2011 profit above consensus estimates. - I like the stock, says Steve Cortes, I think the sell-off was profit taking.

Stanley Black & Decker (SWK) dropped 3%. The company posted better-than-expected quarterly results helped by higher sales of hand tools, and the company raised its full-year earnings outlook for a second time this year. - I'm a seller because I'm a seller of the market broadly, reminds Steve Grasso.
