In a few days, it's going to be Black Friday, the busiest holiday shopping day of the year. This is also the day when all the stores, brick, mortar and otherwise, focus all of their energy on trying to get you to buy whatever they have to sell you.
With the recession showing few signs of abating and for many, money is tight. 13 million people who bought their holiday gifts on credit cards last year are still paying for them this year. So for people who are planning big gift purchases this year, maybe now is a good time to ask Suze Orman, "Can I afford it?"
