Wednesday, 24 Nov 2010 | 12:02 PM ET

UPDATE: We're hearing that some of you have been searching for our past interview with American Tower CEO Jim Taiclet - in which he discusses whether business is poised to explode.

Following is the Fast Money post first published on April 7th.

------------

How should you game the tower trade, in the wake of the smartphone explosion?

Before you place your bets hear from American Tower CEO Jim Taiclet!

What? Never heard of American Tower?

They're among a handful of companies that provide the transmission infrastructure for smartphones, cell phones, other wireless devices as well as broadcast TV and more.

As of December 31, 2009, American Tower owned or operated approximately 20,000 towers in the United States and approximately 7,000 towers in Mexico, Brazil and India.

Considering their services are so closely tied to an industry that that Fast Money gang says is poised to explode you’d think a long position in American Tower would attract investors by the hoards.

But that’s not the case. Shares are down about 4% since the beginning of the year.

What must you know about American Tower before you place your bet? Get the latest from CEO Jim Taiclet including when he thinks the company will start paying dividends!
