Convicted Ponzi-schemer Bernard Madoff, will not be attending the funeral of his son Mark, according to Madoff's attorney.
"He will not be attending the funeral service out of consideration of his daughters-in-law and grandchildren's privacy," Ira Lee Sorkin, Madoff's attorney, said in a statement. "He will conduct a private service on his own where he is currently residing."
Mark Madoff was found dead in his New York apartment Saturday after he hanged himself. He was 46.
Madoff is currently serving a 150 year sentence at a federal prison in Butner, North Carolina.
