Wall Street Holiday Party Watch: Bowling For Barclays

Barclays Capital did not go too far to get their Yuletide cheer going this year.

Although the only official holiday party is a "children's party" for the kids of employees, smaller groups are organizing their own shin-digs. One group went out to Bowlmor Lanes—an upscale bowling alley—in Times Square recently.

"I think there's a strong correlation between people who know how to bowl reasonably and good management skills," one of the Barclays' bowlers said afterwards.

While drinks were served and many of the Barclay's employees got appropriately tipsy, there was no outright debauchery.

"The closest we came to having a drunk was one guy who kept wanting to toast to Lehman green," a person familiar with the matter said.
