Young Citigroup Analyst Dies After Shocking Suicide Jump
Citigroup analyst Jessica Fashano, 27, jumped to her death from the roof of the Trump Place apartment tower on Riverside Boulevard yesterday.
Why she chose the Trump building, where she did not live, is among the many unanswered questions surrounding her death.
A woman who is a resident of the building reported seeing Ms. Fashano in the elevator: Fashano reportedly asked the woman how she could get to the roof.
The building, located near the Hudson River, has views of New Jersey, where Fashano grew up.
Although Ms. Fashano left no note, police said she had been undergoing treatment for depression.
Fashano graduated from Georgetown University in 2005. She was active in numerous charities.
According to the New York Times, Fashano hoped someday to work full-time for a non-profit, after increasing her professional skills through working in the financial sector.
The Times reports:
"But in the interim, her ever-present smile, with bright brown eyes surrounded by long, dark hair, could already be seen in news of charitable events in the Hamptons and Manhattan"
