Pops & Drops: Monsanto, BJ's...

Following are moves you might have missed. Find out why shares of Monsanto and BJ’s popped while ManKind dropped.

POPS (stocks that jumped higher)

Monsanto (MON) popped 3%. Piper Jaffray reiterated its Overweight rating following a round of dealer and grower checks. - Nice pop, says Todd Gordon.

BJ’s Wholesale (BJ) popped 7%. The private equity firm Leonard Green & Partners, fresh off its proposed buyout of Jo-Ann Stores, may be ready to make a move on B.J.’s Wholesale Club, the New York Post reported on Wednesday. - Interesting, says Pete Najarian.

Foot Locker (FL) popped 2%. Wedbush hiked its price target on the retailer to $23 from $22, and reiterated its "outperform" recommendation. - I do not like this stock, says Steve Cortes.

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) popped 3%. An analyst at Stifel Nicolaus added the stock to the firm's "Select List" with a ‘Buy’ rating and $74 price target. - I like this stock a lot, says Jon Najarian.

DROPS (stocks that slid lower)

MannKind (MNKD) dropped 3%. The FDA said it would take an additional 4 weeks to complete review of the company’s new insulin drug. - If approved I think the drug will be a money maker, says Stephen Weiss.
