Pro: 'Biggest' Earnings Surprises

Next week is a big week for earnings with Alcoa, Intel and JPMorgan Chase scheduled to report, but momentum investor Louis Navellier said other earnings surprises are to come.

Operating margins are still expanding and corporate buy backs are robust, said Navellier, author of the "Blue Chip Growth" newsletter. But two of his favorite names, BorgWarner and F5 Networks , have seen "tremendous" margin expansion.

"When your operating margins are expanding, your earnings always grow faster than sales and it usually results in a huge earnings surprise," Navellier explained, adding that should bode well for both BWA and FFIV.

Another positive for BorgWarner, he continued, is that sales are up. It also has "huge" international exposure, where its automotive products continue to be in demand.

Of all the sectors reporting next week, though, Navellier said he expects technology to boast the best gross margins.

"There's so much stuff going on. Everybody is trying to speed up their networks, you know, they're laying fiber optic line to the cell phone towers," Navellier said. "I mean, 4G is just going to bring incredible speed out there for all the devices and anything that can improve network speed is doing great and I love F5."

Aluminum giant Alcoa will report earnings after the closing bell on Monday. Lennar , a Miami-based homebuilder, will report on Tuesday, Intel on Thursday and JPMorgan on Friday.
