Why Cramer Digs This Gold Miner

Gold Standard?
Cramer breaks down whether gold is losing its sheen, with Rick Van Nieuwenhuyse, NovaGold president/CEO.

The question is not whether you should own gold, Cramer said Tuesday, but how you should own it.

NovaGold Resources , a Vancouver, Canada-based company, is Cramer's "long-term, ultimate" favorite play on gold. This gold miner, he explained, has the most leverage to higher gold prices. That's a good thing considering Cramer thinks gold could go to $2,000 an ounce. NG is a speculative play, though, because some of its mines are still under construction.

To learn more about this speculative stock and the gold trade in general, Cramer welcomed NovaGold CEO Rick Van Nieuwenhuyse onto "Mad Money." Watch the video to see the full interview.

When this story was published, Cramer's charitable trust owned NovaGold Resources.
