Are We Living in a 'New Normal?'

PIMCO calls the situation in the global economy and markets the "new normal," marked by uncertainty and risk, including slower growth in developed nations, re-regulation and deleveraging of private sector balance sheets.

Many investors have bought into the "new normal," therefore betting that America is not going to be as strong and rich as it once was. But what if America is just as strong and rich as it was before?
