Warren Buffett and Bill Gates will visit India sometime this year to "seek support of wealthy Indians for philanthropic activities," according to a report in today's (Sunday) Economic Times.

The two billionaires, along with Gates' wife Melinda, traveled to Chinalast September, where they met with wealthy individuals and "learned a great deal about the good work that is already underway" in that country.

The Indian business newspaper quotes a Giving Pledge spokesperson as saying, "In the months ahead, they (Buffett, Bill and Melinda Gates) will visit India and possibly other countries to have similar conversations (on the campaign)."

According to the brief report, additional details on the proposed trip are not yet available.
