After appearing on "The Strategy Session" on Monday, top Wall Street executive recruiter Scott Page continued his discussion off-air with Gary Kaminsky on what business school grads need to do to get hired by the big banks.
"Firms have cut back over the last couple of years. And I think as the markets progress and get a little better, you're going to see a growing appetite for college grads," Page said.
Three areas where firms are looking to add human capital:
- Emerging Markets
- Securitization, Commercial Real Estate
- Investment Banking, Mergers and Acquisitions
"Base salaries will be higher and overtime," Page said.
"You will see compensation rise, but it will take time and it will need to go through the cycle," he concluded.
