Amelia Bourdeau is a director in the Foreign Exchange group at Westpac Institutional Bank. She is based in New York City where she advises and assists Westpac's foreign exchange client base. Bourdeau has 12 years of market experience.
Prior to joining Westpac, Bourdeau worked at UBS as its senior G10 FX Strategist for the Americas. Bourdeau also has buy-side experience having worked both for a global macro hedge fund, specializing in currencies, as its senior strategist and for a Pan-Asia macro hedge fund, all asset classes, as its head of Macro Strategy. Before that, Bourdeau worked as an economist in the Global Markets Division of Deutsche Bank covering the U.S. and Canadian economies, as well as foreign exchange. She started her career at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. in its International Finance Division.
Bourdeau graduated from Amherst College with a B.A. in economics and political science magna cum laude.
