Call to the Floor / CEO Extra: Atmel CEO Steve Laub

Atmel shares rose sharply on Wednesday after the semiconductor released quarterly earnings results that impressed Wall Street.

Based in San Jose, Calif., the technology company makes touch-screen processors for electronic devices, like the Samsung Galaxy tablet.

To talk about its positive earnings, its products and the tech space in general, Atmel CEO Steve Laub appeared on Wednesday's "Fast Money Halftime Report." Watch the video to see the full interview.
