High-Speed Rail Over Driving or Flying?

For years we've been hearing about high-speed rail in the United States.

There are cases where it's moving ahead, but also places where plans have been de-railed. If high-speed rail was able to cut your commute time and cost, and if it were reasonably convenient for you, would you take the train rather than drive or fly?
