As you likely know, growth in many emerging markets has included plans to generate much needed power using nuclear energy.

Advocates have long said it's much safer than it was in the days of Three Mile Island and Chernobyl.

However, the devastating earthquake in Japan again calls the safety of nuclear energy into question. Officials in Japan now scrambling to avert a meltdown at a stricken reactor with officials formally asking the United States for help.
