Much of the two-year stock marker has been driven by institutional investors, rather than retail ones, affectionately known as the "little guy". Many small investors felt burned by the enormous market selloff amid the financial crisis of 2008-2009. Some fled the market, while others stopped putting in new money.

Recently, however, there are signs that retail investors are moving back into the market. What about you?
