Monday, 18 Apr 2011 | 6:12 PM ET

Following are moves you might have missed. Find out why shares of Amarin and M&T Bank popped while Marvell and Abercrombie & Fitch dropped.

POPS (stocks that jumped higher)

Amarin (AMRN) popped 95%.
Promising results from a new cholesterol drug led to speculation the company could soon be a takeover target for Big Pharma. - Click here to check out Fast Money's exclusive interview with with Amarin CEO Joseph S. Zakrzewski.

Stock Pops & Drops
The Fast Money traders take a look at today's biggest market movers.

M&T Bank (MTB) popped 3%. The bank reported stronger than expected earnings and said they anticipate having fewer than expected loan losses going forward. - It's a little expensive for me, says Karen Finerman.

DROPS (stocks that slid lower)

Marvell (MRVL) dropped 5%. Susquehanna cut its rating on the stock to Neutral from Positive and reduced the price target to $17 from $23 citing near term weakness. - I'd stay away, says Jon Najarian.

Sony (SNE) dropped 2%. Street chatter suggested that the company might delay a deal with Sharp or scrap it entirely; investors took it as a negative sign. - This is another stock I'd stay away from, says Tim Seymour.

Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) dropped 3%. With the stock trading near its 52-week high a number of research firms modified their ratings and price targets largely due to valuations. - If the S&P holds 1300 I like ANF, says Guy Adami.
