China overtook the US in 2009 to become the world's largest car market and a record 18 million cars were sold in 2010.
This week, the world’s largest automakers descended on Shanghai to launch their latest models in an attempt to increase their market share in this rapidly growing market.
The 14th annual Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition features 2,000 carmakers and parts suppliers from 20 countries. In all, 75 new car models are being showcased, 19 of which are making their world debut.
