The British pound is prancing, the dollar's in a funk, and the loonie is on a downdraft - time for your FX Fix.

Greenback blues: U.S. housing starts fell in April, bolstering the case for continued low interest rates. [CNBC]

The British pound is jumping after April inflation came in higher than expected. [AFP]

The Canadian dollar dipped after dismal U.S. housing data suggested weakness ahead for Canada's major trading partner. [Reuters]

Comments by the Bank of Japan are weighing on the yen. [actionforex.com]

Talk that two big Japanese companies could be making big overseas acquisitions isn't helping either, because of expected yen outflows. [WSJ]
