In Memoriam: Mark Haines

I've worked with many broadcasters in thirty years but Haines is at the top of the list.

Each 9/11 I would email him reminding of his remarkable work that day.

I will miss him. We all will miss him.

David Friend was the Executive Producer for CNBC's Squawk Box, working closely with Mark for 7 years before being named SVP of Business News at CNBC. Mr. Friend is now Senior Vice President of News for the CBS TV Stations and VP of News at WCBS TV.
