He was a fierce defender of the rights of the individual investor, a man who loved his family above all else, and he was a dear friend, who I will miss so very much.

Mark is unforgettable, and irreplaceable. Mark's legacy will be the way he challenged all of us to be better at what we do. He never let an interview get away from him, always pushing back in his gruff but loveable way.
He was also an incredibly kind man and our CNBC family will never be quite the same with out him.
It was an honor and a privilege to work with Mark for these past 22 years.
