Executive Producer

Warren Buffett will be live from Sun Valley tomorrow (Thursday) morning at 8am ET with Becky Quick on CNBC's Squawk Box.

He's in Idaho for the annual Allen & Company conference that attracts big media moguls who often wind up making deals.

No sign Buffett wants to do a deal in the sun, but he is there every year to enjoy the free food, the beautiful scenery, and the company of his fellow business elite.

Becky will be asking Buffett about his current assessment of the U.S. economy and his thoughts on the debt limit fight that continues in Washington.

In his most recent live interview (full transcript here) on CNBC two months ago after Berkshire Hathaway's annual meeting, Buffett told us the pace of the recovery has been slow but "steady," more steady than the nation's mood.

Also on tomorrow's agenda: the Wall Street Journal report Berkshire has joined the group bidding for OneMain, the Citigroup consumer lending unit that used to be called CitiFinancial.

Becky tells me that in addition, she will be asking Buffett for his thoughts on the potential for a default in Greece and the future of the Euro.
