Here's what's up on Thursday's Squawk on the Street:

--We're talking about the forecast, the heat, the electric grid, the heat, your air conditioning, the heat, what the wealthy do when it gets hot, the heat and utility stocks. That includes Pepco, American Electric Power, Constellation Energy and Edison International ... and the heat.

--The Street Poll's a hot one too. We want to know if you prefer these scorching temperatures to the freezing cold of winter — it's snowmageddon versus heatpocalypse. Share your opinion.

--We also have the CEO of Union Pacific. The company reports numbers.

--Pepsi also reports along with Blackstone and AT&T ... we'll have the numbers and show you how the traders are taking the news.

--We also have key data throughout the two hours. Here's the line-up: Jobless claims at 8:30 a.m. — we'll have reaction; Philly Fed and Leading Economic Indicators at 10 a.m.; and natural gas numbers at 10:30 a.m.
