Bill Ackman to Announce His Next Big Idea on Wednesday

So this is kind of exciting.

Hedge-fund manager William A. Ackman is set to announce his next big actionable investment idea at the inaugural CNBC/II Delivering Alpha summit on Wednesday.

Ackman is the luncheon keynote presentation.

"This investment will have global implications and be of great interest to retail and sophisticated investors alike," says Ackman.

I don't have the details about the announcement yet. But I'm twisting some arms and eavesdropping in on conversations around HQ to see what I can learn. Hope to have more tomorrow.

The Delivering Alpha conference takes place Wednesday at The Pierre hotel in New York City. Institutional investors representing more than $1.5 trillion in assets will be there. Speakers include Cliff Asness, Kyle Bass, Jim Chanos, Phil Falcone, Meredith Whitney, Boaz Weinstein, and Dan Loeb.

And, of course, I'll be there too.
