These Sectors Rebound After U.S. Downgrade

Since the unprecedented downgrade of U.S. debt by Standard & Poor's back in August 5, the NASDAQ composite, the tech-heavy NASDAQ 100 and the S&P Midcap 400 Index have joined the classic defensive playsin positive territory.


Within technology, semiconductors continue to outperform. The PHLX Semiconductor Index is up 7 percent from its close on August 5. Below are some of the best performing stocks in the index.
