The dollar was near a record low against the yen Wednesday ahead of a Federal Reserve policy decision. [CNBC]

Japan unveiled plans to deal with the yen's strength. [WSJ]

The Greek government is due to outline austerity plans, and the European Commission says the country is on track to receive more funds. [abcnews]

Strong Chinese economic data and optimism that the Fed will unveil economy-strengthening plans lifted the Australian dollar. [WSJ]
