Biography - Richard M. Powell



Richard M. Powell, Co-Founder & Sr. Managing Director of AP Capital PartnersRichard M. Powell is the Co-Founder & Sr. Managing Director of AP Capital Partners. Prior to forming APCP in 2003, he was an Associate in the Emerging Markets Group at Bear Stearns. He also had a stint in Corporate Finance at UBS Warburg. Richard Powell currently serves on the boards of each APCP portfolio company. He’s also a board member of the ACG Orlando chapter, VMBS and the 1420 Foundation, a non-profit leveraging education to advance sustainable global economic development. He was selected by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader (2009) in recognition of his commitment to positive social change on a global level. He graduated with an AB in Economics from Harvard University. Richard Powell has spoken at the Harvard Business School, MIT Sloan School of Business, and numerous other venues.
