Robert Melstein is a development producer at CNBC. His responsibilities include sourcing and managing network-wide news partnerships and writing, producing and supervising content across platforms. Before joining CNBC this time around (he worked here from 2002-2003), Melstein was the head writer and digital producer for "Showbiz Tonight," a daily entertainment news program on HLN, CNN's sister channel. He has worked for other television networks, programs and web outlets including CNN, CNNfn, NBC News, CBS News, Access Hollywood, Extra and "The Tony Danza Show." Melstein has shared in awards including the Alfred I. duPont-Columbia Broadcast News Award, the George Foster Peabody Award and the Gracie Allen Award. He graduated with a bachelor of science in business management from Binghamton University.
