The countdown to one of the year's hottest initial public offerings has begun.
A source confirms to CNBC that Zynga is likely to price on Thursday, Dec. 15, with trading getting underway the following day.
Current discussions have the price range around $8 to $10 a share, but that could change as the road show gives underwriters a better sense of demand.
Zynga, the online game maker famous for Facebook'sFarmVille and Words with Friends, would reportedly be valued at around $10 billion if it does price in that range.
