The growing interest in sustainable agriculture may lie behind Chipotle’s stock market success. The burrito maker is committed to making and selling food with integrity; that is, food raised with respect for the animals, the environment and the farmers.

Trader Patty Edwards says Chipotle’s food is delicious, but she finds the stock hard to swallow. Her distaste for Chipotle lies strictly with valuations. “Thirty-eight times next year’s earnings is a little much for me. It’s a really high multiple.”
Trader Mike Murphy agrees. “I like the restaurant for sure,” he says, “But I don’t like the stock at current levels.”
