Warren Buffett's assistant Debbie Bosanek speaks with NBC's Tom Brokaw in this frame grab from a 2007 report on Buffett's call for higher taxes on the super-rich. |
Debbie Bosanek tells the Washington Post she was "so excited I couldn't sleep last night."
Bosanek usually keeps a very low profile and has refused in the past to do interviews about her role in Buffett's tax argument.
Over the years, Buffett has sparked controversy as he called for higher tax rates on the super-rich, pointing out that he pays a lower rate than his office employees because most of his income comes from capital gains.
The White House says President Obama will be pointing her out tonight as he pushes for his own version of a "Buffett Rule" for the tax code.
