Regions Financial Trading Volume Jumps

Trading volume in Regions Financial rose 500 percent over its 10-day average, as the regional bank announced it plans to offer $900 million in common stock to finance the repurchase of $3.5 billion preferred stock that was issued under the Trouble Asset Relief Program (TARP).
