Lorillard, Baidu and Other Tradable Movers

Wednesday, 25 Apr 2012 | 2:55 PM ET

Find out what’s going up, what’s going down and whether our traders would double down, fade or run in the other direction!

Lorillard

The catalyst:
Lorillard said first-quarter earnings fell more than the Street expected due to lower shipments of Lorillard’s Newport cigarettes.

The trade:
“I love tobacco,” says Steve Cortes. “I’d take the decline as a chance to get in.”

--------------

Baidu

The catalyst:
Baidu set off alarm bells on Wall Street after a disappointing second-quarter revenue forecast raised doubts on its growth prospects.

The trade:
“Baidu also seems fixated on cloud computing,” says Joe Terranova, "and will probably spend a lot of money on it. That suggests margins are going to struggle.”

--------------

Norfolk Southern

The catalyst:
Norfolk Southern reported higher quarterly profit that beat expectations, and said increases in general merchandise and intermodal revenue more than offset a drop in coal.

The trade:
“I like this stock,” says Guy Adami.

--------------

GNC

The catalyst:
GNC reported a sharp jump in first-quarter net income citing strength across all of its businesses.

The trade:
“Nice move,” says Jon Najarian.
