Domino’s New Pizza Changes the Game

Monday, 7 May 2012 | 6:14 PM ET

Domino’s pizza landed on the trader radar after the company introduced a new product that could be a game changer.

Domino’s just announced plans to offer pizza made with gluten free crust.

According to the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness, 18 million people are classified as gluten-sensitive and suffer gastrointestinal distress if they consume gluten.

What does this development mean for the bottom line – and for shares? Don’t make a move until you check out our interview with Domino’s CEO Patrick Doyle.

Domino's CEO on New Gluten-Free Pizza
Patrick Doyle, Domino's Pizza president & CEO, discusses the company's new product launch and its global sales outlook, with the Fast Money traders.

* It's worth noting that Domino's cautions that its new pie isn't for anyone with severe gluten intolerance, otherwise known as celiac disease.

Since the gluten-free pizzas will be prepared and baked in kitchens that also cook standard pizzas, people whose symptoms are triggered by cross-contamination should steer clear.
