Westport Innovations CEO on the State of Natural Gas

Although the U.S. government has yet to embrace natural gas as the “cleaner, cheaper and more domestically abundant fuel” for transportation, “Mad Money” host Jim Cramer is still optimistic about the prospects for nat gas.

For those looking to speculate on nat gas-powered vehicles, Cramer continues to recommend Westport Innovations . The company makes the technology that allows engines to run on nat gas. He thinks Westport could benefit from an agreement between TravelCenters of America and Shell to build a network of 200 nat gas fueling lanes in at least 100 TravelCenter gas stations along the U.S. Interstate Highway System.

To Cramer, the fueling stations could be a “tipping point” for the nat gas industry. He was interested to hear Westport Innovations CEO David Demer’s thoughts, though. So he welcomed him onto Friday’s program. Watch the video to see the full interview.
