Wanna Get Rich? Just Do This: Jim Rogers

Billionaire investor Jim Rogers knows a thing or two about getting rich. He co-founded the Quantum fund with George Soros in the 1970’s.

Since that time, he’s spotted many opportunities for making money, and now says, if you’re looking for a ground floor opportunity, he knows what you should do.

Buy a farm. Become a farmer.

According to Rogers, “if you’re competent, it’s going to be a great business for the next 20-30 years.”

He believes the blossoming middle class of China and other emerging nations will drive the need for agricultural commodities broadly.

And right now, there aren’t nearly enough farmers to meet what he believes will be an explosion in demand.

“More people study public relations in this country then study agriculture. The average age of a farmer in the US is 58.”

He takes both as signs that the industry is badly undeserved and anybody who can recognize the opportunity will be rewarded.

“Eventually it will be the farmers driving Lamborghinis,” he says. “Mark my words.”
