FM Portfolio: Thornburg CEO Thinks 'Telecom Is Where It's At'
Investors are searching for yields in an "income-less" world, so how should you be positioned to build income? Brian McMahon, Thornburg CEO, offers insight.

With Treasurys yielding around 1.5%, many investors feel they have no choice but to put money to work in stocks.

But the stock market is notoriously volatile, with shares often soaring one day and then plunging the next.

Unless you’re a very nimble investor, you’re probably pulling your hair out, trying to figure out the best places to put money to work.

Brian McMahon, Thornburg CEO & CIO co-manages $83 billion. And he’s put money to work in telecom.

“We like investments that have the ability and willingness to pay income. We shop all over the world and right now telecom is where it’s at,” he says on CNBC’s Fast Money.

McMahon tells us his two favorite stocks in the space are AT&T and Vodaphone.
