Stocks to Watch: APA, ZMH, MSI & More

Take a look at some of Friday's midday movers:

Apache jumped after the company said it believes it made one of the world’s largest shale-gas discoveries. This in a remote corner of northeastern British Columbia.

Medical device makers Zimmer Holdings, Stryker, and Wright Medical Group all rose after strong earnings from one of its competitors, privately held Biomet.

Motorola Solutions moved higher after the company agreed to buy Psion for $200 million. Psion pioneered portable computing with its “organizer” device in the 1980’s.

II-VI tumbled after the optical and electronics instruments maker cut its outlook for the fourth quarter and forecast disappointing results for the next year.

Intercontinental Exchange rose on news that the Hong Kong exchanges edged it out to by the London Metal Exchange.

Cheniere Energy moved higher after Citi reinstated coverage on the liquefied natural gas operator with a "buy" rating and $26 price target.

Guess rose after Jefferies maintained a "conviction buy" with a price target of $50. The firm saying the company is well positioned as investors begin taking a look at beaten up names with European exposure.
