Yet another case of the Tuesdays. In another quirky calendar trend, the Dow Jones Industrial Average has risen in each of the past six Tuesdays.

Since the start of June, the Dow industrial average’s Tuesday gain has usually wiped out Monday’s losses (it has happened all but once).

Indeed, yesterday was the sixth straight Monday the Dow industrials have been down. It has also been down 10 of the last 11 Mondays.

In addition to the Dow industrial average’s success on Tuesday, the S&P 500 index has risen on seven consecutive Tuesdays, while the Nasdaq Composite and Russell 2000 have been up six Tuesdays in a row.
