Chevron - The oil giant said it expects earnings in its second quarter to be higher than the previous quarter, according to its interim results. Chevron is expected to post its full quarterly results on July 27.

Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters expect the company to post earnings of $3.20 a share on revenue of $68.55 billion in the second quarter. Shares edged higher in extended-hours trading. (Click here for after-hours quote.)

Marriott - The hotel chain posted earnings of 42 cents a share, in line with expectations. But the company reported revenue of $2.78 billion, lighter than the $2.84 billion that analysts had expected. Shares toggled in and out of positive territory in extended-hours trading. Supervalu - The retailer posted earnings of 19 cents a share on revenue of $10.59 billion, missing expectations for 38 cents a share on sales of $10.81 billion. Shares plunged in extended-hours trading. (Click here for after-hours quote.)

Watson Pharmaceutical - The company received approval from the FDA on its generic osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis treatment drug. The pharmaceutical company plans to launch the product in the fourth quarter of this year. (Click here for after-hours quote.)

Calix - The telecom equipment supplier posted second-quarter preliminary results that widely missed expectations, sending shares sharply lower in extended-hours trading. (Click here for after-hours quote.)

Phillips 66 - The gasoline company announced its first quarterly dividend of 20 cents a share, sending shares higher in extended-hours trading. (Click here for after-hours quote.)

Piper Jaffray initiated coverage of Burger King Holdings and Dunkin' Brands with an "overweight" rating and respective price targets of $19 and $39. Meanwhile, the brokerage started coverage of Caribou Coffee with a "neutral" rating and a $14 price target. (Click here for after-hours quotes.)
