J. Tomilson Hill is president and chief executive officer of Blackstone Alternative Asset Management, vice chairman of the Blackstone Group and a member of the board of directors of the general partner, Blackstone Group Management LLC. He is also a member of the firm's management and executive committees.
Prior to joining Blackstone in 1993, he was co-CEO of Lehman Brothers.
He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, where he chairs the investment committee and serves on the board of directors. Hill chairs of the board of directors of Lincoln Center Theater andthe board of trustees of the Smithsonian's Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden.
Hill is a board member of the Telluride Foundation, the Advantage Testing Foundation, Our Lady Queen of Angels School in New York's East Harlem neighborhood, OpenPeak Inc. and Advantage Testing Inc.
He is a graduate of Harvard College and the Harvard Business School.
