Richard Perry has been CEO of Perry Corp. since 1988. Prior to that, he worked in equity arbitrage at Goldman Sachs.

He has also been an adjunct associate professor at New York University's Stern School of Business, where he taught in the finance department.

Perry serves on the boards of directors at Capital Business Credit, Universal American, Ovation and Northwest Investments. He is also chairman of the board of Barneys New York.

He is a member of the board of trustees for Facing History and Ourselves, The Israel Project and the University of Pennsylvania, and an advisory council member of The Hamilton Project.

Perry earned an MBA from the Stern School of Business in 1980 and a B.S. at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1977.
