‘Tech Angel’ Reveals Next Big Online Start-Up

Next-generation commerce could be the next big area of growth for social media start-ups, tech investor Jeff Clavier said Tuesday on. CNBC.

On “Fast Money,” Clavier spoke about Fab.com, a “social media commerce” site that allows users to share items in which their interested. His venture capital firm, SoftTechVC, invested in the start-up a year ago.

This "unique" social media player could be a big winner, tech investor Jeff Clavier tells CNBC.

Clavier said the company was focusing on capitalizing on the mobile platforms.

“One thing that is remarkable in that after such a short time, they already have over 40 percent of the activity on mobile phones, iPhones and iPads, and so if you look at the power of the new platforms, it’s really allowing you to build a following, a user base 10 times faster than it used to be.”
