Google stock might be facing some pressure from Apple going forward, making it a good time to take profits, Darren Chervitz of the Jacob Internet Fund said Tuesday on CNBC.

On “Fast Money,” he said that the elimination of Google Maps from the Apple’s iPhone 5 operating system could mean lower profits for the online search giant.

If Apple continues to exclude Google, it could put downward pressure on the stock, Chervitz said, even as the Android mobile platform continues to gain market share.

“They probably can co-exist, but to be excluded from the Apple platform would be a negative for the company,” he said.

Chervitz’s fund also holds positions in Yahoo and China’s Sina, which he said carries a discount because of of a lack of transparency.

“There’s no way you can fully know what’s going on in those companies,” he said.
